Blend - cuvée - Muskat Ottonel (70%) and Welschriesling (30%).
Grapes for this wine come from a 40-year-old Alter Satz vineyard. The thick gravel subsoil and the warm soil of this vineyard stand for the mineral fruity expression of this wine. It is incredible how absolutely unique and unconflicting the winemaker was able to combine a beautiful strong aroma with a predominance of sweeter muscat tones with a slightly grapefruit-citrus sensation from Welschriesling. The intense impression of the wine persists even in the taste, when slightly higher residual sugar - 7g - blends beautifully with spicy mineral acid and leaves the mouth feeling fresh and juicy. A longer pleasant aftertaste just confirms the above.
If you want to pair them with food, our recommendation is as an amazing aperitif or as a convenient addition to summer salads or fruit desserts. But for us the clear choice is a glass of this wine without a meal ...
