The grapes of this wine come from one of the best vineyards in Halbturn - Waldacker-Römerstein. Its deep ground with Seewinkel gravel provides high water retention. The length of the vineyard over 1km offers various microclimates and therefore the best conditions for optimum ripeness of the grapes.
The juice extract of the best Merlot grapes - which is not quite the usual variety for the production of Austrian rose wines - was briefly macerated and fermented in used oak barrels. As a result, in addition to fruity tones, we can also find the aroma of roasted toast. The taste is beautiful, smooth touch of forest fruit with a predominance of blackberries with a touch of oak barrel. Medium long, stronger, very pleasant aftertaste.
Beautiful wine, which can be enjoyed both alone and - a bit unexpectedly - in gastronomy: grilled salmon or seafood will be an ideal addition to this exceptional wine.
